Dr Suzanne Di Sano is a General Surgeon. She has sub-specialty training in minimally invasive (Keyhole and Robotic) surgery, benign upper gastrointestinal surgery including bariatrics, and complex hernia repairs. She has GESA certification for gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr Di Sano completed her medical studies at the University of NSW and undertook surgical training in Newcastle. After completing general surgical training in 2019, she undertook four further years of subspecialty training.

She spent two years on the Gold Coast completing a robotic fellowship. Following this she obtained highly competitive positions at St Vincent's Melbourne and the Austin Hospitals, two well established and high volume public bariatric and upper GI units in Australia. These units emphasize a multifaceted approach to bariatric surgery, allowing Suzanne to work closely with medical specialists, dieticians and psychologists to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.

Suzanne is an empathetic surgeon who takes pride in delivering the highest standards of care. She practices evidence based, holistic medicine with a focus on achieving the best individual results based on her patient's specific circumstances. Her ability to effectively communicate complex medical concepts enables her patients to make well informed decisions.

Having spent much of her medical career in the Hunter region, she is now happily settled back in Newcastle and committed to delivering the best for her local community.
