Leadership Team

Peter was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Maitland Private Hospital in October 2018, following 17 months as the Chief Executive Officer of Brunswick Private Hospital in Melbourne. He has been a member of the Healthe Care team for many years, commencing as a Physiotherapist at Toronto Private Hospital, NSW, in 2010. Peter brings a wealth experience to Maitland Private, in both clinical and managerial areas, and has a strong commitment to quality patient experience and outcomes.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Newcastle University, and a Masters of Health Industry Management from Curtin University.

Anita Moynihan started her nursing career in 2006 as an AIN & trainee EEN at the Ryde Royal Rehabilitation Unit and the Royal North Shore Hospital Surgical Unit, before joining the HealtheCare team as an EEN at the Gosford Private Surgical Unit in 2008.

In 2013 Anita joined the team at Maitland Private and continued her professional development, completing her Bachelor of Nursing (RN), Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care (specialty field), Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care and Post Graduate Certificate in Health Service Management. In line with her studies, Anita has experienced almost every nursing role we have, across almost all of the services our hospital provides for the community.

From 2019 Anita moved into senior nursing and leadership roles including Hospital-in-Charge, After Hours Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator and more recently Risk & Quality Manager & Deputy Director Clinical Services, before being appointed Director of Clinical Services at the beginning of 2024.

Anita drives continuous quality improvement and exemplifies the high standard of patient care we deliver at Maitland Private Hospital, making her an excellent role model for nurses and a valuable asset to staff and patients alike.

Lynn is a qualified Accountant with an additional degree in Business Studies. She is a member of both CPA Australia and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK).

Lynn joined Maitland Private in 2023, bringing over 13 years of experience leading Finance teams (8 of those with local not for profit organisations). Lynn’s career has encompassed work within local government, engineering, sales and distribution, as well as over 5 years’ experience with a global pharmaceutical company at two of their UK manufacturing sites and at their head office in London.

Lynn enjoys working with different area of the business to help managers and teams understand the numbers and demonstrate how the finance team can best support them to achieve department and company-wide goals.

Cassie joined the Maitland Private Executive Team in October 2019, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from the public health sector. Cassie has worked in the health industry for over 20 years, starting her career in diagnostic imaging and more recently providing executive support to cancer services across Hunter New England. As part of her ongoing professional development, Cassie formed an interest in project management and has steered a number of patient experience themed projects. Cassie has strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and provides invaluable support to the hospital's staff and management team.
