Dr Rebecca Beiers completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle in 1996, having also completed a research degree (Bachelor of Medical Science First Class Honours 1994). She completed her Rehabilitation Medicine Advanced Training in the Hunter Area Health Service in 2003. Since the completion of training, Dr Beiers has provided inpatient and outpatient management in both the public and private sectors. She has also done workplace rehabilitation and medico-legal work, initially training at Hunter Rehabilitation Services before commencing independent medico-legal work at East Maitland.

Dr Beiers has worked at Maitland Private Hospital as the Medical Director of Rehabilitation Services since 2003. During that time she has been involved in program and service development resulting in the expansion from a 10 bed inpatient unit to what is now the largest Rehabilitation unit in the Hunter Area. Dr Beiers has a special interest in degenerative neurological conditions, the elderly and post surgical recovery.
