Dr Huang completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of NSW in 2003. He embarked on his internship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown and pursued a surgical career, completing resident medical officer and registrar positions at various hospitals. He has active interest in research, and has achieved a Master of Surgery (ORL) awarded at University of Sydney in 2010.
Dr Huang qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2014, specialising in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He then completed post-fellowship sub-specialty training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, 2016-17.
Dr Huang is practising in Newcastle as a qualified Surgeon specialising in Otology, Skull Base Surgery, Rhinology and general Paediatric and Adult Otolaryngology. His practice offers a full range of services in the discipline of ENT surgery and enjoys surgery ranging from cochlear implantation, through to sinonasal pathology and complex skull base pathology. He currently works as a VMO across John Hunter Hospital and John Hunter Children’s Hospital and now looks forward to providing a dedicated service to the Maitland region with Hunter ENT.
Dr Huang is a personable, approachable and caring surgeon, in his spare time he enjoys cycling, photography and classical music.
