Dr Jane Ludbrook is an experienced radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Maitland. In 1990 she completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the University of Auckland and subsequently undertook specialist radiation oncology training at Auckland Hospital and the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia. In 2002 she completed her radiation oncology fellowship at the BC Cancer Agency in Victoria, British Colombia, Canada. Since 2003 she has worked at the Calvary Mater Newcastle where she continues to work as a senior staff specialist in radiation oncology.

Aside from her clinical practice, Dr Ludbrook is a passionate educator, leader and researcher. She is a conjoint lecturer at the University of Newcastle and is currently an executive member of Faculty of Radiation Oncology Lung Interest Cooperative (FROLIC) Specialist Interest Group within the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). Dr Ludbrook has held many leadership roles in the Hunter New England Local Health District including Chair of Lung MDT, Chair of Radiation Oncology stream and currently as the Chair of Breast MDT. She also remains active in many research opportunities, primarily focused on lung cancer.

Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special interest in breast cancer, lung cancer and brain (CNS) cancers, as well as palliative radiation therapy and stereotactic radiation therapy.
